Apartment Japan’s Commitment to the SDGs

DID-GLOBAL Co., LTD. contributes to building a sustainable society through its foreigner-friendly rental platform, Apartment Japan®, and collaborations with partner companies. Our mission is to simultaneously address the challenges faced by foreign residents in Japan and the structural issues within Japan’s housing market. Through these efforts, we are actively working toward the following SDGs.
SDGs 3. Good Health and Well-Being
To support foreign residents’ access to healthcare, Apartment Japan introduces multilingual online medical consultation services. These include prescription support and emergency ambulance arrangements, helping to reduce anxiety caused by language barriers and differences in healthcare systems. By combining “Housing × Healthcare,” we provide an environment where foreign residents can live with greater safety and peace of mind.

SDGs 10. Reduced Inequalities
Foreign residents in Japan often face significant obstacles in securing rental housing, such as the requirement for guarantors, difficulties opening bank accounts, language barriers, and limited access to information. Apartment Japan addresses these challenges by offering an online property search and electric contract system that enables foreigners to rent more easily, creating a fairer housing market environment where residents can secure housing on equal terms.

SDGs 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities
Japan’s aging population and declining birthrate have accelerated the problems of vacant houses and apartments. However, many landlords hesitate to rent to foreigners due to concerns about language and lifestyle differences, even if they have a lot of vacancies.
Apartment Japan is a platform enabling rentals to foreigners, providing comprehensive support from publishing property information in English to facilitating online contracts. This promotes the effective utilization of vacant homes and contributes to the sustainable development of local communities.

SDGs 12. Responsible Consumption and Production
Due to visa restrictions, many foreign residents stay in Japan for short- to mid-term periods, leading to high demand for furnished rental properties. Apartment Japan actively encourages landlords to provide furnished rentals and promotes the use of rental bedding.
This approach reduces the need for each new resident to purchase furniture and appliances, enabling the reuse and long-term utilization of existing resources. As a result, we help minimize waste and contribute to more sustainable consumption patterns.

SDGs 17. Partnerships for the Goals
Apartment Japan leverages strong partnerships with landlords and real estate companies across Japan to provide a wide range of property information in an accessible way for foreign residents. Through these collaborations, we not only share listings but also promote the creation of more foreigner-friendly housing and provide useful information for comfortable living.
In addition, by partnering with providers of coworking spaces, gyms and fitness platforms, online medical consultation services, housekeeping, and other lifestyle support services, we aim to deliver a one-stop solution that helps foreign residents live more comfortably in Japan.

Conclusion
DID-GLOBAL Co., LTD. is committed to supporting the “Safety” and “Comfort” of foreign residents while addressing pressing social issues in Japan. Through Apartment Japan, we are creating solutions that span housing, healthcare, community development, and resource circulation—making meaningful contributions toward the achievement of the SDGs.
